SummAIrize – Text to Video/Audio News Platform (Back to the Future Award)
The winner of our OraHacks – Back to the Future hackathon is SummarAIze by Sachin Shivanna, Nishchal G R, Suhas Palani, Pallavi Savant, Harshith Deshalli Ravi. SummarAIze will effortlessly streamline news creation and consumption with realtime conversion from articles to engaging video and audio. This team excelled in our judging categories of UX/UI, application functionality, innovation/originality, and presentation/documentation.
InsuKicks – Employee Benefits (FinTech Award)
InsuKicks was the winner of our FinTech category by Abhijnan Acharya, Vivek Chandra Bengaluru Suresh, Subramanya Ganesh, and Nehal Patil from IIT. InsuKicks is an end-to-end employee benefits platform focused on reducing cost and friction to having affordable benefits for startup employers and employees that suffer from a high-risk business profile.
Kai Care – Physical therapy companion (EdTech Award)
KaiCare took home our EduTech category with 5 Illinois Institute of Technology engineer graduate students: Si Qiang Wu Yang, Chenglong Wu Yang, Mario De Lucas García, Ignacio Gómez Valverde, and Laura Serrano Velazquez. KaiCare, led by KAI the koala, is an AI-powered physical therapy teacher and companion that helps you recover from injuries, improve your performance, and prevent future injuries powered by computer vision.
ENVSN – Dream Journal Generative Art (Creative Art Award)
ENVSN (Envision) took us to the dream world with their Creative Art generative AI. By Albert Luna, Maro Vogel, Justin Abella, Aaron Min Soo Kang, and Alex Stomberg, ENVSN captures the essence of your dreams with precision but also brings them to life through mesmerizing AI-generated images courtesy of the DALL-E API.
Tutor Buddy – Computer science tutor

The Curriculum Genius team, Lucas Ferguson, Joel John, Patrick Wilken, Rehonama Jahin, Mariana Hernandez, and Hiba Rizvi, came together to revolutionize teacher training and student support through an AI copilot. Their solution tackles the Theory-Practice Gap by allowing teachers to apply theoretical knowledge in simulated classroom settings, enhancing teaching effectiveness and student engagement.
Minerva – decentralized online learning platform
Sanjay Sakthivel and Vignesh Ram are tackling the challenges of high tuition costs and access to education by creating a platform where teachers can upload educational videos directly to the blockchain, eliminating the need for a middleman. This approach ensures that resources are more affordable and accessible, benefiting both students, who can purchase courses with cryptocurrency, and teachers, who can earn directly from their content.

Meet Mohammed Saalim Kartapillai, who is pioneering a project designed to transform interview preparation through AI technology. His initiative focuses on offering personalized feedback for every interview question, helping candidates refine their responses and enhance their communication skills. By leveraging AI to analyze and critique answers, this tool aims to equip job seekers with better preparation, boosting their confidence and success rates in interviews.
GrassQuest – A new way to explore the world!
Shoeb Khan is the driving force behind GreenQuest, a revolutionary app designed to tackle the growing issues of loneliness and depression by enhancing community engagement and promoting mental wellness. GreenQuest inspires users to reconnect with their communities through engaging activities and missions, while also offering personalized support with an AI counseling chatbot. By blending digital interactions with meaningful real-world connections, Shoeb’s vision with GreenQuest is to create a more supportive and interconnected society, enhancing individual mental health and community well-being.
Enlive – Ads/Marketing templates by AI
Sreeved Krishna PS, Bhavna Idnani, Dhanalakshmi Sangaraju, Dhanalakshmi Nallaka, and Harigovind R are tackling the challenge faced by SMEs of reaching their target audience without the substantial marketing budgets that larger companies enjoy. Their solution, an AI-powered tool, enables these businesses to create impactful ads easily and cost-efficiently using customizable templates and a user-friendly interface that requires just a few clicks to produce high-quality images tailored to their campaigns.
Neighborhood Tagging App
Vaishnavi Shankar Devadig, Bandhavi Parvathaneni, and Abhishek Jaiswal have developed a solution to assist upcoming students in finding the best neighborhoods to live in by employing a multiple-tags based recommendation system that leverages AI and data-driven insights. The core of their system uses an AI model to analyze and predict neighborhood suitability, incorporating a user-friendly map interface where students can visualize and select their preferred locations based on context-aware tags. This one-stop solution not only aids students in making informed housing choices but also has potential applications in fields like healthcare, finance, education, and fire-forest management.
